The most important things to remember are that the withdrawal experience is unique and that not everyone is subject to unpleasant and unrelenting symptoms. This is a time to be patient, non-resistant and gentle with yourself. Once your nervous system recovers, the symptoms will subside. If you are having a challenging time withdrawing from a benzodiazepine, please be assured that benzo withdrawal is temporary and most people do fully recover. You will, like me and others before, be able to regain control of your life and enjoy a new beginning. One day this will be a faded memory.
